Now, I have no radio voice, but I have to go out there and say it: I can not stand Carl Kasell's voice. If you don't know who he is, think of the really annoying/muffled/"hawk-a-loogie-for-goodness-sake-or-at-least-take-the-cotton-swabs-out-of-your-mouth" voice on NPR News. Am I alone on this one?

Absolutely not, but it's really funny to hear him crack wise on Wait Wait -- Don't Tell Me. Such a voice sounds like it should be absolutely humorless, but that proves false.

Also . . . Dan Schorr's voice is about ten times worse.

Speaking of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, I believe that if you win on that call-in show, Carl Kassell will leave the outgoing message on your voice mail for your phone. Something like "Hello, this is Carl Kassell. You've reached the voice mail box of Joe Haack......"

How bout them apples!

Zack . . . I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Garrison Keillor from A Prairie Home Companion. *snoorrre*
