A case for coon hunting

OK, this may be a passing fad. However, here is great article on the need and joy of coon hunting. More reasons to own a redbone hound? Let me list them:
1.) happy, even-tempered and very good with children
2.) they love being with their owner
3.) strong desire to please his master
4.) instinctive hunters (aren't we all?)
5.) they are independent like cats
6.) they are intelligent
7.) they just seem to "know" to be careful with little kids
8.) they are not aggresive.
9.) they are confident.
10.) they are as close to hypoallergetic as you can get without breeding poodle into it.

Our current neighbor and our previous neighbor both had houndogs. THE MOST ANNOYING BARK AT 6:00 A.M. YOU COULD EVER DREAM UP. I know our dog can be obnoxious, but, Aaaugghh... The rythm, the volume, the sound...If you ever get one of these, please, please don't move next door to me.
