i like the review - it's very descriptive and if you know music banter - it's a great review. but i think it's too wordy for it's own good. the article is just as self indulgent as the author's view of the mars volta record.
that is a really good insight. That might be pitchfork's downfall...but in the same stroke, it is exactly what makes them popular. They really feed the indie rock ego.
it's like playing rock in your basement, and pretty soon the whole world is one gigantic basement. that's what indie rock is all about. green lights in april!
