The Lord God Bird

For a small town, on the verge of despair, there is hope. It is the Lord God. Bird. Listen to this radio story about a bird, who has been thought to be extinct for years, and his recent reappearance in a small Arkansas town. The official name is the ivory-billed woodpecker, but because of its intimidating size (for a woodpecker), it has been deemed the Lord God Bird. (when the average hunter viewed the bird through their scope I suppose, they would exclaim, 'Lord God! that's a big bird.')
